About us

Since its founding in 2015, the Brussels-based gallery Thomas Deprez Fine Arts has established a reputation as one of the leading dealers in Belgian art, with an inventory distinguished by works of exceptional quality, rarity, historical significance and beauty. The gallery regularly sells to national and international museums and takes particular pride in the careful selection of the works it offers. With a focus on Belgian Fin-de-Siècle art, the gallery brings together paintings, drawings, sculpture and the decorative arts within a coherent and harmonious universe. Special attention is given to the Brussels avant-garde society Les XX (1884–1894), and to the Impressionist, Symbolist and Art Nouveau movements in Belgium.

The gallery brings together dealing and art-historical research in an ongoing exploration of the richness and diversity of Belgium's artistic heritage. Over the years, this approach has developed beyond the gallery's commercial activities. Through exhibitions, publications, museum acquisitions and loans, as well as collaborations with scholars and institutions, Thomas Deprez Fine Arts seeks to contribute actively to the study and international recognition of Belgian art.

Thomas Deprez is an art historian, dealer and collector. He holds an MA in Art History from Ghent University. His expertise is grounded in the continuous study, handling, conservation and contextualisation of works of art, combining academic research with the practical knowledge that can only be acquired through sustained engagement with the objects themselves.
